The New Student Orientation Sessions
The New Student Orientation Sessions are mandatory meetings that allow new students to become acclimated with their chosen course of study, to meet law school faculty and staff, to learn about available electronic resources and student services, and to review GLS policies. These sessions are hosted by the GLS Office usually one to two weeks prior to the start of the semester. Sessions are presented during the evening hours at the School of Law for campus based student and via the Internet for online students, and occurs in August each year. Individual meetings are also available for degree programs with small numbers of students.

MJ Information Session - October 17, 2012
The MJ Information Session provides an opportunity for prospective students to learn more about the overall structure of the programs, application requirements, and opportunities to view online class sessions. Attendees will also have an opportunity to meet current students and hear their perspectives about the programs. This event generally occurs in October every year.
 
MJ Open House - March 13, 2013
Occurring in March each year, the MJ Open House provides an opportunity for prospective students to learn more about the overall structure of the programs, application requirements, and opportunities to view online class sessions. Attendees will have an opportunity to meet professors and staff members and to view presentations from each legal concentration.

GLS Commencement Dinner - May 16, 2013
Every year, the Office of Graduate Legal Studies will host a commencement dinner in May to honor graduates of the SJD, D Law, LLM and MJ degree programs at the School of Law. All graduate law degree candidates will receive an invitation during the spring semester.
